Updated on 1 min read
The Ingham Clark Freemasons Lodge, based in Wallingford donated over £2,000 to local charities. The lodge is keen to support charities that help people from their local community, including the young, elderly, and disabled. The ‘Giving Event’ happened at the Wallingford Masonic Centre Goldsmith Lane, Wallingford on Saturday 25/01/2025.
Recipients from the charities met at the Masonic lodge to receive the donations, and a tour of the temple. They asked questions about the background of Freemasonry, and what they do to help those in need.
The charities included:
Sobell House
Wallingford Air Cadets
Style Acre
1st Wallingford Boys Brigade
The Treehouse School
John’s Primary School
Cholsey Volunteers
Royal British Legion
“The underpinning ethos of Freemasonry is charity, to help those less fortunate than ourselves. Ingham Clark Lodge wants to play an active part in supporting our local community. We did this by giving modest donations to a number of local worthy causes, particularly those helping the young, the disadvantaged and the elderly. Our donations make a significant difference for these smaller groups.”
